The contents page of my magazine, Core, has a slightly different feel to the front cover, still using similar fonts and styles of writing, but with a highly edited photo behind it. The photo was shot and edited so it could be made slightly sepia, making a softer less harsh feel to the magazine as opposed to the acidic colours the front cover harboured.
It was shot on a cliff, which made the background clean and easy to put text on. The foreground was slightly harder but the problem was over come by changing fonts, colours and strokes to make the text stand out.
The whole page comes through and definitely has the magazine image in mind. The whole design throughout the magazine flows, as neither the colours or fonts change in such a drastic way that the house style is neglected.
