A bigger brand for publishing such as IPC or Bauer is probably not as suitable or cost effective for publishing a magazine which is less mainstream such as mine. Acording to statistics, 500 new magazines are published each year, only 20% of which surivive its first 4 years.
Getting into the industry is pretty difficult for new magazines, and as well as having a paper copy of the magazine. It would also be released online as well. Blogs and Podcasts would probably be used as it broadens the magazines reach, sponsoring at festivals and award ceremonies could be ways of getting the magazines name and image across.

Distribution would be simple, getting shelf space in Tesco/WHsmiths and garages such as BP and Shell would be a perfect place, as many young people use these stores. Music shops could also sell the magazine, as well as some clothing shops, this would be a new concept that not many magazines have done, but also extends the reach to the audience.
